BROWS & BEAUTY
What are Nano Brows?
Nano Brows, also known as "Machine Hair Strokes" will give the appearance of realistic looking hair strokes in the brows, similar to microblading; however, the hair strokes are created using a tattoo machine and a small single needle tattoo needle. Brows created with a tattoo machine and needle will cause less trauma to the skin, less of a risk for scar tissue to form under the skin, and the results are longer lasting with better healing.

Most people request microblading due to the realistic affect that can be created; however, a good majority of people are not good candidates for microblading. With Nano Brows, I can create beautiful and realistic looking hairs strokes regardless of your skin type. You are a good candidate for Nano Brows if you have:

-
Oily and porous skin
-
Normal, dry, or combination skin
-
Thinner skin above the brow bone
-
Any amount of eyebrow hair
-
Any skin tone
You should expect Nano Brows to last approximately 2 or more years depending on the individual client and skin type. You should expect to schedule a touch up service every 2-3 years to prolong the application.
Are Nano Brows Painful?

The degree of discomfort may depend on several factors such as the location of the application and your personal pain tolerance. You may feel slight scratching during the first part of the application. After the first pass of hair strokes have been completed, a second numbing solution will be applied directly onto the freshly applied hair strokes that will allow the numbing solution to penetrate the skin which will leave you with little to no feeling of the tattooing application.

What can I expect during my appointment?
A typical Nano Brow appointment will take 3-4 hours to complete.
-
We will begin the service by filling out and reviewing client consent forms
-
We will discuss your healing expectations and go over your aftercare instructions where you will be provided with your aftercare kit
-
We will go back to the service room and begin with a consultation to discuss your desired results, look at inspo photos, and I will have you lay down on the table so I can take a good look at your brows under professional lighting
-
While you're laying down, I will take before photos and videos upon consent
-
Your brow area will be sanitized with a medical grade alcohol prep pad
-
I will map your brow shape using pre-inked string and a soft pencil
-
I will ask you to sit up so I can review the shape that I created and continue to map the shape using measuring rulers, mapping string, and a pencil
-
We will both look at your new brow shape in the mirror and make any changes necessary
-
Once we're both happy with the shape, you will lay down on the service table while I prep the tools that I will be using during the service and we will choose your pigment color
-
I will map out your first pass of hair strokes using a pencil to ensure that the hair strokes on both brows will be even and flow perfectly with your brow hair
-
I will remove any stray hairs that are outside of the mapped shape using a brow razor
-
The procedure will begin with the first "pass" of nano strokes throughout the right brow where I will be using a tattoo machine and needle that is dipped in to pigment and tattooed in to the skin in a designated pattern
-
Numbing gel will be applied over the brow for approximately 1 minute after I complete the first pass on the left brow
-
The numbing is removed and a second "pass" of nano strokes is performed to fill in sparse areas and create more detail
-
For Nano Brows, you can expect to go through approximately 3-4 "passes" before the brows are complete (some people may require more or less)
-
I will take your after photos and videos and sit you up to double check pigment saturation and symmetry
-
When I am 100% satisfied with your results, I finally reveal to you, your new Holliewood Brows!
What should I do or know after my appointment?
-
DO NOT get your brows wet for the 14 days post service other than when performing your brow care routine. Be very careful when showering and washing your face. If you do get your brows wet, gently pat them dry with a clean cloth.
-
DO NOT do any strenuous exercising for the 14 days post service. The salt in your sweat will break down the fresh pigment and cause premature fading
-
DO NOT fully immerse your face in water, use a sauna, or sunbathe for the first 14 days post service
-
DO NOT put makeup directly on the brows for the 14 days post service
-
DO NOT apply or use any product in or around the brow area that was not provided in your aftercare kit for 14 days post service. This includes facial cleansers, all forms of makeup, moisturizers, oils, serums, healing ointment that was not provided in your kit, Vaseline, Aquaphor, sunscreen, etc.
-
DO NOT pick at or rub your brows while they are healing! Picking at your brows may result in loss of pigment and will compromise the overall result of the application

-
Days 1-5: Your brows may appear red, dark, thick, and bold.
-
Days 6-10: Your brows will begin to flake, become itchy, and some parts of the brow will appear light when the flaking has begun to shed.
-
Days 10-25: The pigment in your brows will start to return and may only appear slightly patchy.
-
Days 25-42: You have already had or you are about to have your touch up.
-
Days 42-365: Your brows should be beautiful and should last at least 1-2 years before your next touch up (Retention will vary per person and is not guaranteed).

What is your recommended aftercare?

-
Right after the procedure, you will blot your brows with a sterile gauze that is provided in your aftercare kit. You will blot your brows every 10-15 minutes from an hour to soak up drainage, lymphatic fluid, and oils.
-
Before bed on night 1 of your procedure, wash your hands with soap and warm water and pump 2 pumps of Holliewood Brow Soap provided in your kit in your hands with room temperature water. Gently wash your brows using your fingertips in a swiping motion following the direction of your brow hair. Do not scrub. Rinse the soap away from your brows with room temperature water. Blot your brows dry using a clean paper towel and apply a rice grain amount of the ointment provided in your kit to both brows using a cotton swab or clean finger.
-
You will wash your brows and apply ointment for 10 days morning and night.
-
Do not wash your brows and apply ointment more than the instructed amount or longer than the instructed period of time. You should have enough soap and ointment left over that will last for use after your touch up session.
-
For 2 weeks after your session, be sure to avoid: Getting brows wet other than when cleansing, working out, swimming, saunas, hot tubs, long showers, brow makeup, facial services, direct sun exposure to the face, tanning beds, waxing or plucking brow hair, and picking at or scratching brows.

Is a touch up necessary and how much will it cost?

A touch up session after 6-12 weeks is recommended as everyone heals differently and outcomes will vary. Certain areas of pigmentation may not retain fully after your first session and will need to be refilled. Pigment color may need to be adjusted, brow thickness and more strokes can be added. Those with oily skin often require a deeper shade during the touch up session as the oils tend to lighten the pigment. Most importantly, your touch up session is when we refine your brows to ensure it looks perfect and retains the color for as long as possible!

A 6-12 Week Touch Up is $100.00 and must be scheduled no later than 90 days after your initial service.

A follow up email will be sent to you 4 weeks after your initial Nano Brows appointment. The email will prompt you to look at your eyebrows in the mirror and determine:

- Do I want my eyebrows darker?
- Do I want my eyebrows fuller?
- Do I want to adjust the shape of my eyebrows?
- Do I see any patches in my eyebrows that need to be filled in?
If you answered "yes" to any of the above questions, you will want to book a touch up appointment. There will be a booking link in your email. If you are 100% satisfied with your eyebrows after the first session, you will be prompted to send photos of your eyebrows via email reply for Hollie to give her professional final say as to whether a touch up is needed or not.

Should I expect to get my brows done again in the future and how much will it cost?

Permanent brows are very low maintenance; however, we do want to see you every 1-3 years for a refresher. At your refresher, we will go over the already established nano strokes with more pigment and we will make any changes, corrections, or additions that we agree are necessary.

12-36 months after last touch up: $300.00
36 + months after last touch up: (YOU MUST BOOK AS NEW CLIENT)
