BROWS & BEAUTY
What is Lash Line Enhancement?
The lash line enhancement procedure involves tattooing pigment in between the lashes as opposed to a line on top of the lashes like a traditional eye-liner. It gives the illusion of fuller thicker lashes and adds a beautiful contrast right next to the eye. The best part is, when you aren’t wearing any makeup, it doesn’t look like you are wearing eyeliner. Colors are customized for each client based on desired effect. Results can last up to three years, however, an annual touch-up is highly recommended in order to keep your liner fresh, and ensure the pigment density is retained.
***Holliewood Brows & Beauty will only tattoo the top / upper lash line at this time***
Is Lash Line Enhancement painful?
The degree of discomfort felt during the procedure varies from person to person. A topical numbing cream is applied at the beginning of the service before we begin to minimize your discomfort. After the first pass is completed, a stronger secondary numbing gel is applied directly to your lash line. You may feel slight scratching during the first part of the application, some may experience an itchy feeling from the vibration of the tattoo machine, and slight dryness while the lash line is exposed while being tattooed.

When I am 100% satisfied with your results, I finally reveal to you, your new Lash Line Enhancement tattoo!
What should I do or know after my appointment?
-
Day 1: You’ll love your new lash line!
Your eyeliner color is approximately 30% darker than it will be when it’s healed. It will also appear slightly larger than it will heal in just a few days. This is due to color oxidation as well as a small amount of swelling and it is a normal part of your healing process. You will have no trouble driving home and going about the rest of your day normally. -
Days 2-3: Your color will darken temporarily as the pigment oxidizes and thin scabs will form.
You may wake up slightly puffy but you can remedy this by sleeping on an incline, applying a cool compress, and / or taking an oral anti-inflammatory. Your lash line will feel tight and dry, but not painful. -
Days 3-5: Your lash line will begin flaking until there is no scabbing left.
You want to allow healing to shed naturally. Once all scabbing has finished flaking, it is common for the color to appear lighter than it will eventually heal. This lighter color is only temporary as your freshly healed skin is hiding the true color underneath. Over the next several weeks your lash line color will bloom. -
Day 42: At 6 weeks your lash line is fully healed. It’s now okay for you to come back in for your touch up.
***If the swelling persists beyond 48 hours or becomes worse, or if the eyes become inflamed (red, itchy, watery, etc.) please seek medical attention. Please call us if this happens. This is a very rare occurrence, but it can develop in clients with extremely sensitive eyes.***
-
Expect light to moderate swelling and redness. Immediately after the procedure the eyelids will be slightly swollen.
-
Avoid touching your eyes with your fingers for 7 days
-
No soaps, cleanser, or shampoos on the treated area for 7 days
-
No skincare products or sunscreen on the treated area for 7 days
-
No makeup on the treated area for 7 days
-
Avoid long, steamy showers and baths for 7 days
-
No recreational water activities, such as swimming or surfing for 7 days
-
Avoid activities that would expose you to dirt and germs for 7 days
-
Avoid extreme heat and strenuous exercise for at least 3 days
-
DO NOT USE mascara, eyeliner, eye shadow, lash curlers or false eyelashes for 7 days.
-
DO NOT tint or perm eyelash or apply lash extensions for 14 days.
-
Eye contacts can not be used for 7 days after to procedure as saline solution must be avoided to prevent prematurely fading the pigment - If you wear eye contacts, please wear your eyeglasses until after 7 days post treatment.
-
Avoid sun exposure for at least 14 days (if you must be in the sun, wear a hat and/or sunglasses to protect the treated area)
-
No Rubbing, Scrubbing, Scratching or Picking the Treated Area for 7 Days. Do not pick, scratch, scrub or rub the treated area or attempt to remove any flaky, crusty, or scabby material that forms as a result of the normal healing process. Removing the crusts may result in the removal of the implanted pigment, possible scarring and/or infection.
What is your recommended aftercare?
-
Cold Packs & Pain Relievers: After your procedure, cold packs with a thin fabric barrier may be applied for 10-15 minutes every half-hour (or as needed). Do not apply ice directly to the treated area. Over-the-counter pain relievers can help to ease soreness and reduce inflammation.
-
Cleansing the Treated Area: You will need to cleanse the treated area once in the morning and once at night for 7 days. To cleanse, gently dab or blot the treated area with a clean cotton pad lightly dampened with room-temperature water with eyes closed.
-
After-Care Ointment: After cleansing, apply a tiny amount of the After Inked ointment with a clean Q-tip using a gentle, dabbing motion. The ointment will help to keep the area protected, prevent scabbing and accelerate healing. Continue to apply a tiny amount of ointment to the lash line when / if you notice the area is feeling dry.
-
When Sleeping: You may want to put an old pillowcase or towel on your pillow for the first night or two after your procedure, as there could be pigment or fluid seepage that could stain.
Is a secondary touch up necessary and how much will it cost?
YES! A touch up session after 6-8 weeks is necessary as everyone heals differently and outcome will vary. Certain areas may not pick up during first session and will need to be refilled. Those with oily skin often require a deeper shade during the touch up session as the oils tend to lighten the pigment. Most importantly, your touch up session is when we refine your lash line tattoo to ensure it looks perfect and retains the color for the whole year!
Your touch up MUST be scheduled between 6-8 weeks after your initial service (no later than 12 weeks). If for some reason you are unable to schedule your touch up during the requested time frame, you will be charged a $30.00 late booking fee as more work will most likely need to be done to ensure your Lash Line Enhancement will last as long as expected. A 6-8 Week Holliewood Brow Touch Up will be available for you to book no later than 18 WEEKS after your initial session.
***If you DO NOT schedule a $75.00 6-8 week touch up appointment for any reason after your initial session within the time parameters as stated above, you will be required to book as a new client at full price if you choose to have your Lash Line Enhancement done at Holliewood Brows & Beauty in the future.***
All new permanent makeup clients must book ONE 6-8 week touch up for a $75.00 fee following your initial service. In some cases, additional touch ups are necessary and may be booked on a case by case basis at a rate decided upon by Hollie with Holliewood Brows & Beauty and the client.
Is an annual touch up necessary and how much will it cost?
YES! Luckily, Lash Line Enhancement is a very low maintenance procedure; however, we do want to see you at least once per year or every other year after your initial service. At your annual touch up, we will go over the already established tattoo with more pigment and we will make any changes, corrections, or additions that we agree is necessary.
10-24 months after last touch up: $250.00
24 + months after last touch up: $425-475.00 (MUST BOOK AS NEW CLIENT)
