What is Brow Tattoo Removal?

Holliewood Brows & Beauty is certified in an innovative tattoo removal technique called, Saline Removal.

Saline tattoo removal is a process by which we penetrate the skin with a saline solution (salt + purified water) to break up the tattoo pigment and pull it out of the skin. The procedure is similar to tattooing, but instead of injecting ink underneath the skin, we’re pulling it out. We use LI-FT which is currently the most effective and safest saline solution on the market. LI-FT is mainly made up of purified water, salt, lemon and orange seed extracts. The ink or pigment will lift out of the skin over a 1-2 week period and a scab will form. After the scab has fallen off naturally, you will notice lighter pigmentation under the skin.

If you are looking to start over with fresh new Holliewood Brows, we do not necessarily need to remove your previous brow tattoo entirely. Saline Removal will likely take 1-3 sessions if the the pigment / tattoo ink is located above the dermis layer in skin in order to lighten or completely remove your old tattoo. In some cases, 8 or more sessions may be required to remove the tattoo if the pigment / tattoo ink is located under the dermis layer in the skin. Each session of Saline Removal will be done in increments of every 8 weeks.

Here are some of the advantages of Saline Removal:

  • It eliminates most, if not all pigment shades

  • Safe removal ingredients

  • Low cost compared to laser removal

  • Can be performed within 24 hours of a fresh and unwanted brow tattoo

  • Each treatment takes around 1 hour to complete

Reasons why you may consider Saline Removal:

  • Your brow tattoo has healed or changed to an undesirable color

  • Your brow tattoo was not done properly (blurred microbladed strokes, thick outlines, splotchy or patchy pigmentation, etc.)

  • You are unhappy with the shape of your brows

  • The tattoo ink or pigment has migrated outside of your brow shape

  • The style of your brows no longer suites you or your desires

  • You would like a more modern form of semi-permanent brow tattoo such as Microblading or Powder Brows

No laser equipment can guarantee the total elimination of a tattoo. With old or less powerful equipment, the tattoo may only be partially removed even after several costly sessions. If the equipment is not properly utilized by a certified medical professional, a shadow image or even permanent scarring can happen as well as hyper / hypo pigmentation, tattoo darkening, and burns.

***Saline Removal is offered for eyebrow tattoos only. You will not be serviced for any other permanent makeup or body tattoo***

Is Saline Removal painful?

You may experience slight discomfort. A topical numbing solution will be applied before the procedure begins. A secondary numbing gel will also be used throughout the procedure to keep you comfortable. You may feel burning and warmth in your brow area as the procedure continues. We will provide you with a battery operated fan that you can use for additional relief.

Is more than one session necessary and how much will it cost?

It depends on a few factors: Do you want your old tattoo completely removed? Are you looking to have your brows redone? Is your old tattoo extremely dark and deep in your skin?

If you are looking to start over with fresh new Holliewood Brows, we do not necessarily need to remove your previous brow tattoo entirely. Saline Removal will likely require 1-3 sessions if the the pigment / tattoo ink is located above the dermis layer in skin in order to lighten or completely remove your old tattoo. In some cases, 8 or more sessions may be required to remove the tattoo if the pigment / tattoo ink is located under the dermis layer in the skin.

Every session will be priced the same at $150.00 per session regardless of your pigment saturation level
