What is Magnetic Brow Tattoo Removal?

Magnetic Tattoo Removal is a game changer when it comes to tattoo removal. We finally have a removal technique that doesn't involve painful lasers, damaging acids, and no scarring. This technique involves the use of a specialized tattoo machine, magnetic needles, and tattoo removal serum that works together to extract inks and pigments out of the skin. All products used are patented, created, and FDA registered by Linda Paradis. The majority of pigments and inks used for permanent makeup and body tattoos contain traces of heavy metals. The metals in the pigment are attracted to the removal serum and magnetic needles that guide the pigment out through the surface of the skin as the tempurature of the water in the skin increases due to the friction being caused by our removal technician's back and forth hand movements.

What can I expect during my appointment?

A typical Brow Tattoo Removal procedure will take approximately 1 hour.

  • We will begin the service by filling out and reviewing client consent forms.

  • We will discuss your healing expectations and go over your aftercare instructions where you will be provided with your aftercare kit.

  • While you're laying down, before and after photos will be taken.

  • Your brow area will be cleansed with an anti-bacterial soap and an alcohol prep wipe.

  • Removal will begin on one eyebrow by lightly exfoliating the skin with the tattoo removal machine and magnetic needles.

  • A light layer of removal solution will be applied to the brow and will sit for 2-3 minutes until it becomes dry. The solution is then wiped off of the skin surface.

  • We will continue the service on that same eyebrow using the removal machine, magnetic needles, and removal solution by working in a side-to-side and up-and-down motion quickly along the surface of the skin over the entire brow to create friction.

  • During the second or third pass, it is common to see pigment being extracted from the skin. Bleeding can be expected at this time as well. We will squeeze the skin if bleeding occurs to release any small blood clots that are stuck under the skin.

  • We will repeat these steps 5 times. Aftercare ointment will be applied to conclude the removal procedure for that brow.

  • We will repeat the same steps above for the other brow.

  • After both brows have been completed, we will cover them with warm cotton pads soaked in mineral water for a few minutes which will help the removal solution to penetrate deeper into the skin.

  • After photos will be taken and we will follow up with you in 15 days to check on your progress.

What should I do or know after my appointment?

***Healing expectations may differ per person***

  • Day 1-3: Your brows may appear red, irritated, and a little swollen after the completion of the treatment and may remain that way for a couple of days. You may notice a yellow or green tint to your brows as they continue to ooze and extract pigment, this is normal.

  • Days 4-8: Your brows should begin to scab during this time and may become itchy. DO NOT pick at scabs or scratch your brows.

  • Days 9-15: The scabs should have fallen off and new skin will begin to form.

  • Day 15: You will receive an e-mail from us after your treatment which will prompt you to send photos of your brows so we can see your results from this removal session. We will inform you if we think another session is necessary and proceed with booking if so.

FOR 2 WEEKS AFTER EACH PROCEDURE OR UNTIL SCABS HAVE SHED COMPLETELY, YOU MUST AVOID THE FOLLOWING:

  • No makeup in or around brow area

  • No facial products in or around brow area

  • No facial mists or perfumes should be sprayed directly to your face

  • No sunscreen in or around brow area

  • DO NOT apply any product in or around your brow area unless the product came from your aftercare kit

  • DO NOT pick, pull, or scratch at scabbed skin

  • Avoid waxing your brows

  • Avoid direct sun exposure

  • Avoid tanning beds

  • Avoid self tanners and spray tans

  • Avoid saunas / steam rooms

  • If you smoke tobacco, apply a thin layer of ointment to your brows before smoking

What is your recommended aftercare?

  • Following your treatment: With the gauze provided, blot your brows every hour until they are no longer oozing.

  • The evening after your treatment: Before bed gently wash brows with soap provided and apply a rice grain amount of healing ointment provided to each brow.

  • You may need to blot your brows periodically on the second and third day as they continue to ooze.

  • Wash your brows with the soap provided every morning and evening for the next 5 days.

  • Apply a rice grain amount of ointment provided to each brow 3 times a day for the next 5 days.

  • You will likely begin scabbing or flaking around day 4. DO NOT pick or pull at scabs. They will fall off naturally.

  • Your brows will be fully healed by day

Is more than one session necessary and how much will it cost?

It depends on a few factors: Do you want your old tattoo completely removed? Are you looking to have your brows redone? Is your old tattoo extremely dark and deep in your skin?

If you are looking to start over with fresh new Holliewood Brows, we do not necessarily need to remove your previous brow tattoo entirely. On average removal will likely require 1-3 sessions if the pigment / tattoo ink is located above the dermis layer in skin in order to lighten or completely remove your old tattoo. In some cases, up to 8 sessions may be required to remove the tattoo if the pigment / tattoo ink is located under the dermis layer in the skin and you are looking to have your brow tattoo completely removed.

Every session will be priced the same at $225.00 per session regardless of your pigment saturation level.

When can I book my next removal session or my appointment for new brows?

If you do need more than 1 session, your next session can be scheduled as early as 3 weeks after the previous session. If you have pre-existing scarring in your skin, sensitive skin, or mature skin it is best to schedule your next session no earlier than 4 weeks after your previous session.

If you are removing your old brow tattoo to have them tattooed again and you have healthy skin with no scarring, you can schedule new brows 4 weeks after your previous removal session.

If you are removing your old brow tattoo to have them tattooed again and you have sensitive, mature, or scarred skin you can schedule new brows 8 weeks after your previous removal session.
